GREENTALKS

Growing a Healthy Community Looking to create a healthy community? Join us at Green Talks! We offer engaging, informative, and interactive workshops that cover everything from starting your garden to winter sowing. At the Vegucation Station, you'll have the opportunity to taste delicious farm-fresh food, and learn how to save money at farmers' markets. Moreover, you can learn how to prepare yummy recipes using produce donated to our food pantries. Our workshops are suitable for both beginner and experienced gardeners, food enthusiasts, and family cooks alike.

FOOD AND NUTRITION

Diabetes Prevention Program Prevent type 2 diabetes with the Diabetes Prevention Program. Get coaching and support to make healthy choices, increase activity, manage stress, monitor blood sugar, and prevent complications. This program is proven to work and empowers you to take charge of your health.

The Grocery Shopping Tour Program Want to learn how to shop healthy? Join our supermarket and farmers’ market shopping tours, led by FCS Extension agents and master food volunteers. We teach you how to choose whole foods, read food labels, and discover new foods that promote good health. Our classes cater to individuals with chronic diseases, parents of young children, and those on a budget. As a participant, you will receive a giveaway packet that includes a free supermarket gift card or farmers’ market token. Sign up now and empower yourself with healthy eating habits!
