Our Mission
The mission of the 4‑H County Fair in King George is to create a welcoming place where all youth and their parents/guardians can learn, create, discover, and try new experiences — whether they’re exploring future careers or simply enjoying the fun of being part of a community focused event.
The 4-H County Fair is an educational program that is run by Teen Leaders from our local community and adult volunteers. Our fair is a rich, local educational experience that is rooted in the 4‑H Motto, “To Make the Best Better!”. We believe every young person and adult has strengths worth celebrating, and we support their growth through community partnerships, local participation, and sponsorships.
We strive to create a fun and safe space for learning that provides in-formal, hands-on opportunities to build character, responsibility, good sportsmanship, and confidence. Through workshops, competitions, leadership roles, and youth vendor opportunities, young people and adults can grow in new skills, meet others, and make lasting memories.
The Spirit of Entrepreneurship
At the 4-H County Fair we celebrate The Spirit of Entrepreneurship in King George and the surrounding area. We work hard to encourage creativity and entrepreneurial enterprise through our Youth Entrepreneur Showcase and adult vendor/crafter opportunities. Our fair features educational, research‑based programs that are geared towards both youth and adults.
Our Entrepreneurial Showcase is founded on the belief that by helping youth become well‑rounded citizens today, we build strong leaders for tomorrow. We aim to strengthen our community for the future by encouraging youth and adults to participate in the 4-H County Fair program and achieve their full potential.
