During this demonstration you will learn about making cold process soap start to finish, using lye and oils. The demonstration will cover important safety practices and the various ingredients used to make artisanal soap. At the end of the demonstration participants will learn how to cut a completed bar of soap! No registration required, parents/guardians are welcome.

Join us on this carnivorous plant adventure as we explore the exciting world of bug eating plants! Did you know that we have carnivorous plants in Virginia and that Venus Flytraps are actually from North Carolina in the U.S.A.? During this exciting educational demonstration we will feed live carnivorous plants and you will learn about what carnivorous plants actually eat, how they eat, where they are found, and the amazing habitats that they live in.
