Megan Williams

Extension Agent, Agriculture and Natural Resources

Megan serves as the Agriculture & Natural Resources Extension Agent for both Caroline and King George Counties. She cultivated her appreciation for the natural environment growing up both in Prince William County, VA and San Diego, CA. 

 

Megan attended the University of Virginia and graduated in 2022 with a B.A. in Environmental Science, a B.A. in Global Studies of Environments and Sustainability, and a minor in studio art. During her time at UVA, she completed a Research Experience for Undergraduates in Weed Ecology with the Rainfed Agriculture Innovation Network at Kansas State University. 

 

Upon graduation from UVA, Megan began graduate school at Cornell University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences where she worked under Dr. Virginia Moore on her masters’ thesis titled “Nitrogen Management and Alfalfa Variety Effects on Yields in a Dual-Purpose Intercropped Intermediate Wheatgrass and Alfalfa System.” Megan Graduated from Cornell in 2024 with her M.S in Soil and Crop Sciences- Agronomy, and began working with Virginia Cooperative Extension in May of 2024.
